The Club is a not for profit organisation and
has over 30 members, including model engineers, railway enthusiasts and
traction engine buffs.
New members are always welcome. Adult membership is $50 per year and

E.L.R.S.S. is
affiliated with the Australian Association of Live Steamers (AALS), a
national body and operates under its guidelines. All boilers must be
manufactured and approved under the Australian Miniature Boiler Safety Code (AMBSC)
and are certified and tested routinely under this code.
Aims of the Evandale Light Railway & Steam Society Inc.
To establish, at Evandale, a scenic track for the enjoyment of rail enthusiasts
To provide a venue consistent with community objectives
To participate in charitable activities within the Evandale and greater Launceston communities
To foster skills in design, building and operation of steam powered equipment in accordance with National regulations
To promote public awareness of Tasmania's steam heritage.
